I use this recipe all the time, I usually double it, or sometimes triple the recipe if I'm having a large crowd. Everyone loves and requests it. Enjoy!!!
I don't know about ';Ryan's'; recipe, but I'll offer what I do. (I apologize for not using measurements. I'm old-school that way...)

1) Any large pieces, cut in half.

2) Add mayonnaise to your liking, but realize that you may have to add more once you add the pasta, that's mentioned below. (Pasta absorbs.)

3) Add one or the other: frozen peas (thawed), about one-third of the amount of crab, OR a few tablespoons of thinly sliced or minced celery (the flavor of celery will ';marry'; with the other flavors whereas the peas will not--however, both add texture and color).

4) Add cooked, small pasta shells, about one-third of the amount of crab.

5) Mix all with cracked black pepper.

6) Chill in the 'frige for a few hours.

7) Stir. Taste-test. Adjust.

Note: You can toss in some crushed pineapple as well. You may want to set a bit of the salad aside once it's chilled, and then try the ';bit'; with pineapple and see how you feel about it.

CRAB (IMITATION) SALAD

1 pkg. imitation (frozen) crab meat (chopped)

1 med. onion, chopped fine

1 med. bell pepper, chopped fine

1 tsp. parsley flakes

2 stalks celery, chopped fine

1 clove garlic (or garlic powder)

Seafood seasoning (McCormick's), to taste

Salt to taste

Sweet or dill pickles, chopped, to taste

2 boiled eggs, chopped fine

2 c. leftover Kraft dinner (already cold - completely fixed with cheese, etc.)

Mayonnaise

1 tsp. mustard

3 tbsp. Italian dressing (approx.)

Note: The longer this marinates together, the better!!

Combine all to consistency of a ';lumpy'; potato salad, add Italian dressing before mayonnaise, as to not get too watery.

Serves 4-6, depending on hunger. Very good alone or with fried fish or boiled crawfish as a side dish.
