Anyone have a good salad recipe for a home party?

I am looking for a good recipe for a new salad (not lettuce salad). If you have a new recipe and are willing to share, please post. It can be sweet, oil, or a mayo salad.Anyone have a good salad recipe for a home party?
Ahhh I have one! I make this salad ALL the time. it includes:





Fresh baby spinach


Feta cheese


crunchy grapes


with oil and ving. dressing...





you can also take walnuts, put them in a small frying pan, with some brown sugar. Anyone have a good salad recipe for a home party?
Sweet pasta salad


1 pound rotini pasta


4 carrots, shredded


1 green bell pepper, chopped


1 onion, diced


1 cup distilled white vinegar


1 cup white sugar


1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk


2 cups mayonnaise


1 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


DIRECTIONS


Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.


In large bowl, combine pasta, carrot, green pepper and onion. In medium bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, condensed milk, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Toss salad with dressing and chill 4 hours in refrigerator before serving.

Serves 4





Ingredients:


600g peeled shrimp


100g mangetout


1 papaya


陆 lily bulb


1 chili pepper








Methods:


1. Rinse mangetout, blanch in boiling water, romove, and rinse in cold water.


2. Rinse shrimp, remove intestines, blanch in boiling water until done, and soak in ice water. Drain and set aside.


3. Peel papaya, halve, remove seeds and cut in large cubes. Remove seeds from chili pepper and slice. Open lily bulb, rinse and drain.


4. Combine all ingredients and drip with dressing. Refrigerate until chilled and absorbed, then serve.





Star Anise with Fish Sauce





Ingredients:


1 tbsp fish sauce


1 tbsp soy sauce


2 tsps granulated sugar


3 tbsps salad oil


6 star anises


2 lemons








Methods:


1. Squeeze juice from lemons and set aside.


2. Pour fish sauce, soy sauce, granulated sugar and salad oil in pot, cook until a little boiled and remove from the heat. Add star anises and set aside for at least 1 hour until star anises release its flavour. Add lemon juice and finish.



tropical fruit salad


Ingredients


1 medium mango, seeded, peeled, and cubed


1 11-ounce can mandarin orange sections, drained


2 kiwifruits, peeled, halved lengthwise, and sliced


1 cup tiny marshmallows


1 8-ounce carton vanilla yogurt


3 bananas, peeled and halved lengthwise


1/2 cup coconut, toasted


Honey (optional)


Star fruit, sliced optional


Directions


1. In a medium bowl, combine mango cubes, mandarin orange sections, kiwi slices, marshmallows, and yogurt. Cover and chill for 2 to 4 hours.





2. To serve, cut each banana half crosswise into two pieces. Line 6 banana-split or dessert dishes with the banana pieces. Stir half of the coconut into mango mixture. Spoon mango mixture into dishes. Sprinkle each serving with remaining coconut. If desired, drizzle with honey and garnish with a star fruit. Makes 6 servings.






Party Salad





1 large carton Cool Whip


1 can sweetened condensed milk


1 (13 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple (drained)


1 can cherry pie filling


1/2 c. pecans


1 c. flaked coconut


1 c. mini marshmallows





Combine Cool whip and Eagle Brand milk. Mix well. Chill for 1 hour. Add other ingredients. Stir well; chill overnight.





Great make-ahead salad that travels well and there is nothing to do the day of the party!

i was just looking for the same thing. i found this site, it has a few pasta salads and a really tasty looking potato salad i really wanted to try. check it out, and good luck!
I like to mix cole slaws with almonds, sesame seeds, green onions and crumbled ramen noodles then toss it all with Soycha... YUM!
