Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Stir in rotini pasta and cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until al dente; drain.

Place bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook until evenly brown. Drain and chop.

In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise, ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, and garlic pepper. Stir in milk until smooth. Place bacon, tomato, black olives and cheese in bowl and toss to coat with dressing.

Cover and chill at least 1 hour in the refrigerator. Toss with additional milk if the salad seems a little dry.

When I want to make it with peas, I add frozen peas in the water with the pasta about 3 minutes before the pasta is done cooking.Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad Recipe?

It was probably made from a box. We buy a boxed mix and it has peas. You shouldn't be ashamed of makking it from a box, it's quite good, and very easy.
How about this?

  • Super simple pasta salad recipe with mayonaise?

Does anyone have a SUPER simple recipe for pasta salad that includes mayo?Super simple pasta salad recipe with mayonaise?
Cooked pasta of your choice, veggies if you want like tomato, onion celery, add 1/2 a packet of Italian dressing mix dry with the mayo or miracle whip and stir. Tastes great with just pasta or with the veggies. Add cooked chicken, turkey, beef, or pork if you desire. (I don't add any salt or black pepper to this at any time, don't add salt to pasta water either, the Italian dressing dry mix is great flavor without salt.) Eat warm or cool and serve as chilled salad.Super simple pasta salad recipe with mayonaise?
I used to make a very easy one that I stole from the cafe at a museum.

They combined cooked and chilled tiny seashell pasta

a little mayo, cooked peas and some crab meat or shrimp.

Then they added some fresh dill.
Mix mushrooms and sweetcorn through pasta, toss together with little mayonnaise.

    Include in salad:

tomato %26amp; cucumber (tossed together with drizzle of good olive oil)

Celery %26amp; apple (tossed with mayo) sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.

Hard boiled eggs %26amp; spring onions (mixed with mayo) sprinkle cayenne pepper on top then grate some cheddar cheese over it.

Cold potatoes chopped roughly %26amp; spring onions, mix with mayo.

Serve all above with lettuce %26amp; your favourite meat or fish %26amp; more mayo.

    Very filling.
1/2 pkg. pasta (sm. shells or spirals)

    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese

    1 sm. can corn

    1 sm. can peas

    2 carrots, shredded

    1/2 c. real bacon bits

    1 c. mayonnaise

Prepare pasta as directed on package. When done, rinse pasta under cold running water until all pasta is cold to the touch. Drain and put in large mixing bowl. Cut up cheese into small cubes and add to pasta along with corn and peas that have had all juices drained off. Add ranch dressing and bacon bits and anything else you can think of and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
    Has to be tuna mayonaise.

1 tin of sweetcorn or fresh sweetcorn.

    Mayonaise.

Tuna tinned or fresh but i suggest tinned.

    Pasta.

Mix the tune and mayo in a bowl. Mix with pasta. Add sweetcorn..You have just made a CLASSIC pasta salad.
my mother prepares pasta-or rice salad with:

-wurstel slices or tuna fish or cooked ham pieces

    -cheese pieces

    -tomato pieces

    -corn

    -black olives

then adds oregano, salt and two sppons of mayo...really good and easy!
i usually just cook some pasta noodles, add two hard boiled eggs all chopped up, some chopped scallions or yellow onions, two cans of tuna mix it all up with mayo and season with salt and pepper
I use rainbow rigatoni, 2 parts ranch dressing, 1 part itallian dressing, kidney beans, red onion, garbonzo beans, and olives.
2 cups cooked macaroni, drained, rinsed, cooled

    2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped

    1/4 cup chopped celery

    1/4 cup chopped onion

1/3 to 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing

    2 teaspoons sugar

    2 teaspoons vinegar

1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste

    1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard

    pepper, to taste

Combine all macaroni salad recipe ingredients, using about 1/3 cup of mayonnaise and stir well. Add a little more mayonnaise, if necessary. Taste and adjust seasonings. Cover and chill for several hours before serving.

Please provide me with a salad recipe using artificial crab meat?

With or without Mayo - both welcomePlease provide me with a salad recipe using artificial crab meat?
The salad I make uses seafood extender, which I am pretty sure is the same.

1 packet pasta (spirals bow ties etc)

    1 kg seafood

2 Bottles thousand Island dressing.(may not need this much do it to your own tastes)

Cook the pasta. While still warm add the other ingredients. Serve warm or cold.

You could also add cooked prawns for a difference.

My whole family loves this and its requested at every party. Please provide me with a salad recipe using artificial crab meat?
I usually buy a bulk bag of the flakes when it is

on sale, you just have to undo the pieces as they are already cut up.

mix the flakes with finely chopped celery, dill, mayo, and chopped green onion or chives. The

dill really seems to make it great. You can add peppers for color and crunch.
Presume you mean crabsticks - finely chop the following (I mean tiny pieces) crab / onion + fresh parsley - mix with mayo and season.

prepare a lettuce - roll up leaves together and slice into thin strips (this must be done just before you serve) in a bowl place lettuce and fresh chopped dill - little balsamic vinegar /olive oil/salt mix well and place on a large plate on top add the crab/mayo mix - yum!
just chop up some celery and the crab meat and put some crab boil seasoning in it and wallah you have your crab salad . good luck .

    2. 1 1/4 cups sugar

    3. 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple drain and reserve juice add water to make 1 cup add to cranberries, and sugar . Continue to boil until most of the berries pop (you might want

    4. Add pineapple

    5. add 1 cup walnuts and 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

    6. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

chill over night preferably.Does anyone have a cranberry salad recipe?
I remember my mom made something similar when I was little. She used to put the cranberries in a food processor and grind them to a sort of pulp. she would add like 5 cups of sugar and let it set overnight in the fridge so that the crannberries could soak up the sugar, otherwise it would be really sour. then she added a container of cool whip, chopped pecans, a package of strawberry jello and marshmellows, I am not sure this is the one your thinking of though and I think she used like three bags of fresh cranberries!
You can follow this recipe and leave out the mandarin oranges and pineapple if you want.

    Southern Cranberry Salad

1 (3 ounce) package strawberry gelatin or cherry gelatin

    1 cup boiling water

1 (16 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce

2 (11 ounce) cans mandarin oranges, drained

1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained

    1 cup finely chopped pecans

    Cool Whip, for topping (optional)

    1. Mix Jello with boiling water; stir until dissolved.

    2. Add cranberry sauce, oranges, pineapple, and pecans.

    3. Lightly spray a 4 cup ring mold or pretty glass dish that it will be served.

    4. Add salad; cover with plastic wrap and chill at least 3 hours or till firm.

    5. Serve with dollop of Cool Whip (optional).
i dont have the recipe but yahoo does becuse i get all min e from there try it out!

While the eggs are cooking, fry the bacon and remove to a paper towel to drain, reserving 3 tablespoons of the rendered fat. Crumble the bacon and set aside.

Transfer the fat to a small saucepan set over low heat and whisk in the red wine vinegar, sugar and Dijon mustard. Season with a small pinch each of kosher salt and black pepper.

Add the mushrooms and the sliced onion to the spinach and toss. Add the dressing and bacon and toss to combine. Divide the spinach between 4 plates or bowls and evenly divide the egg among them. Season with pepper and serve immediately.

banana slices but wait to the last minute to add

sour cream one large(16 oz)-- add half and decide if you want more.

I have used any other mixed fruit in a can you want to cut up any large pieces-- peaches for instance-- there is a ';tropical'; with mango for instance. I have used diced pineapple also-- but not crushed... doesn't work as well.

I have also just gone to my pantry and gotten one can of every kind of fruit I have there-- I have put fresh strawberries sliced in it-- apples diced aren't bad but are more crunchy-- Dump it all together-- add the sour cream and some of the reserved juice if needed to stir well-- cover and refrig--

You might want to try some various fruit dips. There are loads of different types. Then, you just cut up the fruit and dip it. The fruit and dip last longer than if you mix them up in an actual salad.

What is the best tuna salad recipe you have ever had??

    Delicious Tuna Salad

1 can albacore white tuna in water

    1/3 cup diced cucumber

    1/2 teaspoon dill weed

    2 tablespoon real mayo

    2 teaspoons of sour cream

Drain the tuna really well. Then mix everything in a bowl. Chill for at least 45 mins for the flavors to develop. Longer is better. Over night is probably the best.

I eat it on wheat bread. Its the best tuna ever. It may sound gross and thats what i said but then I tried it and it is very tasty!

Please try it.What is the best tuna salad recipe you have ever had??
my own recipe. but my mother has made it like this for years, so it may not be original....we put 2 cans tuna, hellmans mayo, salt, pepper, sweet relish, and 2-3 hard boiled eggs. chill and serve on whole wheat bread! i love this stuff! :oPWhat is the best tuna salad recipe you have ever had??
Mayonaise, sweet pickle relish, chopped celery. Chopped apples and raisins are also good in place of, or in addition to, the celery.
includes: two cans of chicken of the sea tuna, about four eggs(boiled), sliced dill pickles, diced onions, green onions, mustard, and mayonaise
Boil some pasta ( macaroni, or small size pasta), then, once they have turned cold, add tuna, tomato sliced, mozzarella, olive oil, olives, basil, parsley, onions, garlic, pepperoni, apples cut in small pieces, perhaps one or two drops of lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, and there you go!
Cubed seared tuna with diced mango, red pepper flakes, green onion and light mayo. served over mescalin greens. My own recipe if you like it let me know.
The best tuna salad recipe starts with tuna packed in water. Drain it, and add only enough mayonnaise to moisten it enough to spread, about a tablespoon for each 6 ounce can. Put 1/4 teaspoon celery salt, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, and 1/4 teaspoon black or white pepper in the mayonnaise, stir, and mix with the tuna.

You can add chopped hardcooked egg, chopped mild onion, chopped celery or even chopped pickle (or all of the above) to extend the dish and make it special.

But everyone always loves my tuna salad the best!
Plain and simple is best to me: a dab of real mayo, a little squirt of yellow mustard, a bit of both dill and sweet relishes, and some pepper. I use water-packed tuna and squeeze it pretty dry.
    Linguine Tuna Salad:

    30 min 20 min prep

    10-12 servings

    8 ounces linguine

    1/4 cup lemon juice

    1/4 cup light olive oil

    1/4 cup green onions, chopped

    1 tablespoon sugar

    1 teaspoon italian seasoning

    1 teaspoon seasoning salt

2 (6 ounce) cans tuna, Drained

10 ounces frozen green peas, thawed

    2 medium tomatoes, chopped (firm)

    1. Break linguine lengthwise into thirds and cook according to package directions; drain.

    2. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine lemon juice, oil, onions, sugar, Italian Sesoning, and salt, mix well.

    3. Add HOT linguine; toss.

    4. Flake tuna with a fork, then stir tuna and thawed peas into the linguine mixture. Gently toss in chopped tomatoes.

    5. Cover; chill several hours or overnight to blend flavors. Serve cold.

    6. Refrigerate any leftovers.
my opinion is to not eat tuna because it can make you get gas problems and if you continue eating tuna you will then get cat cancer i think that tuna is only for cat and why are human beings eating cat food!!!
Depends on what u like. I like tuna, miracle whip, celery, onion and some sweet pickles. or one can apply a tomatoe to it. It is whatever you like on it.There is no right or wrong for this one.
The best is my Aunt's I will only make it this way now. Tuna, diced celery, diced onions, 1/2 tsp of horseradish, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. The best is to make it about 1 hour before you are going to eat it so all the flavors mix together.
I make it with a can of tuna (of course), salt and pepper, thyme (it takes the fishy taste away), a little garlic powder, some parsley flakes, sweet or dill relish, a squirt of dijion or spicy mustard and some mayo. Other ingredients that can be substitued or added are lawry's seasoning salt, celery salt and diced chives.
The best is made with Starkist tuna packed in oil.

Drain two 6 ounce cans of tuna and flake into a bowl. Add as much Hellmann's mayonnaise as you wish. Thinly slice the green tops of 3 scallions; add to the tuna and stir well to incorporate. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate over night.

Serve tuna stuffed into a tomato or on your favorite bread with a lettuce leaf or mound on toast, top with shredded cheese and broil for a great tuna melt.

The key to this recipe is the overnight refrigeration.

I have a Christmas Salad recipe with ingredients but no instructions. Does anyone have this recipe?

Christmas Salad Ingredients: 16oz Cottage Cheese, 8oz Whip Cream (I don't know if it means whipping cream in the carton or whipped cream in the spray can!), 3oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese, 1 large can crushed pineapple (drained), green and red maraschino cherries, and 1-pound marshmallows (melted). That is it. NO directions of any kind. I have searched for hours on the internet with no luck. Thank you!I have a Christmas Salad recipe with ingredients but no instructions. Does anyone have this recipe?
hmmm...no jello for this? pudding? usually this kind of recipe also has a jello or pudding component to it. Let's see...I think basically, you would just mix most of this stuff up...mix the cool whip (whipped for sure...sugar added maybe, too), cottage cheese, marshmallows and cream cheese (that will probably have to be softened a bit.)...I'd mix up all these 'white' ingredients and then, once mixed, add the fruit and serve...below are some links to other recipes that are similar.I have a Christmas Salad recipe with ingredients but no instructions. Does anyone have this recipe?
It sounds like a variation of Ambrosia. I usually make it with sour cream not cottage cheese but Ambrosia has an infinite number of combinations.

I think they mean cream that has been whipped not the liquid stuff. You could probably use Cool Whip instead.

I would cream together the cottage cheese, whipped cream and cream cheese. Add pineapples and cherries. Mix together and chill. Pour marshmallows over top before serving.

Sorry I couldn't be much help.
have you tried allrecipes.com? The have a part where you can list the ingredients and it will come back with recipes. I don't have it but I would say its probably done like this. mix whipped cream (cool whip) with the Philly cheese, cottage cheese and melted marshmallow this will make your base fold in pineapple top with cherries. It would kind of be like an ambrosia salad I make then.
It sounds like you don't have to cook anything (except melting the marshmallows) which is awsome and also you may just put all the ingredients together and your on your way. BUT two things to make sure on how to make this desert:

    1. Always buy whip cream from the tub, never the can. Tub tastes much better. Or you could make your own...thats always fun. Also to make your whip cream taste homemade if buying from the store is to put 1 tsp of almond extract in it.

    2. If you really want to look for awsome ideas how to put it together with adding or subracting ingredience is to go to cooks.com Its the best resourse I go to for regular people like us to get ideas!

I hope this helps and good luck...sounds good!

    Kati Mn
After searching and searching for an answer to this question, I found one very similar... **in this one they mean 8oz. whipping cream! I figure they do in yours too because if you used whipped cream and marshmallows you would come out with some very VERY sweet concoction...**

    Favorite chicken salad recipe?

Not internet search, I can do that myself. I want your tried %26amp; true- the one everyone raves about. We're not picky, anything goes. I have leftover grilled chicken breasts ready to go!Favorite chicken salad recipe?
I don't really have a recipe...it's more by taste and looks than anything. I take my chunked chicken, add chopped red onion to taste ( i love onion!), some diced celery, a little dijon mustard, (just a squirt!), some mayo just to make it creamy. Add some salt and pepper, and then I toss in some red grapes, cut in half...just a few...plus a few chopped walnuts. This is best if you let it sit an hour or so before serving, and is great on toasted Italian bread!Favorite chicken salad recipe?
I've used this one several times, I don't have measurements, but you can guestimate:

    Cooked chicken breast, usually boiled

    mayo

    various herbs, whatever you like

green onions, red peppers, and garlic

    green apples

    croissants

I saute the onions, peppers, and garlic in olive oil. Once the boiled chicken has cooled, course chop it with the herbs, onions, peppers and garlic.

combine with mayo to taste. add salt and pepper to liking.

layer chicken salad with thin slices of green apple on halved croissants.

    mmm...I want one now!!
    here it is..

    1/4 cup sweet relish, drained

    1/2 tsp. salt

Do You Have a Quick and Easy Potato Salad Recipe?

My favorite is waxy potatoes cut in bite size pieces, mixed with sweet onion [Vidalia here in the U.S.] and dressed with good mayo seasoned with powdered ranch dressing mix. Fast, simple and after it sits in the frig to let the flavors ' marry', it's quite tasty.Do You Have a Quick and Easy Potato Salad Recipe?
    Southern Style Potato Salad

New potatoes cut in 1/4 %26amp; boiled

    Chopped onion

    Chopped dill pickles

    Minced garlic

Dressing: Equal amounts of Mayonnaise and Mustard, and add dill pickle juice until the taste jumps out at you. You'll know when. Pepper to taste and salt if needed - the pickle juice is salty.

Pour the dressing on the veggies and let it sit in the refrigerator for an hour or so, until it chills. This MUST be kept chilled, because of the Mayo.Do You Have a Quick and Easy Potato Salad Recipe?
Only use red potatoes, they are the healthiest. Boil potatoes with skin in water for 30 to 45 minutes, let cool and peel off skin. Chop in cubes, add oil, fresh parsley, fresh garlic, and fresh chives. Healthy and very tasty!
Yes-keep it real simple. Boil potato's, cool them, slice them in criss-cut fashion, add mayo, a little mustard, salt to your taste, and then the final BEST - Dill pickle sliced up and cubed, then the trick of adding some of the dill pickle JUICE into entire bowl. Now your ready to mix it all very good, let cool and enjoy!!! I enjoy it with more of the mayo (wife does not) and it makes a fantastic simple cool potato salad.
are vegetarians supposed to eat eggs? (because of the catogory I'm asking)

mayo has eggs to let you know

sound delicious I will have to try this my self

I think my mom adds a little parsley and probably not so much mayo
Cook the potatoes whole, then cool and cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Cooking them whole avoids mashed potato salad.

    - add diced boiled eggs, celery, (either sweet onion or green onion) miracle whip, and a little mustard along with diced pickles and a little of the juice. You can add a little chopped fresh dill also which is really good. Mix well, and refrigerate. This is always a better recipe the next day, but is good either way. Good luck with your potato salad.
Good recipe,...but please use mock mayo...its made from milk and milk amino acids dilute quicker in the blood as cows milk is actually synthesized from its own blood( Did you ever know that?)..
The only recipe I have has bacon in it and I tried it once without it and it didn't taste good.

    Sorry.
i never really liked potato salad, but i tried this recipe i found on vegweb... i love it! it's really good when served warm, too.

I like to use a good vinaigrette based dressing, and add chopped black olives, red onions, cherry tomatoes (cut in half), fresh basil, fresh parsley and small cubes of mozzarella.

It is super yummy. If you like capers, they go good too. As for exact amounts...just eyeball it. Don't add too much dressing though - just a little at a time. You want everything to be nicely coated, but you don't want it swimming in it.

    Can you make Tuna Salad?

If so, just use canned chicken in place of Tuna.

OK, my salad is one can of Chicken (or tuna), choppe donions, chopped celery, chopped pickles (I prefer bread and butter style, but, sweet or dill work well too), Just enough mayonaise or Miracle Whip to moisten it, and a dab of mustard. Maybe like a teaspoon.

    Then mix all together.

Make/buy pizza dough - I love the pizza dough recipe on food network.com

brown ground beef, pork, turkey, meat or choice - add taco seasoning mix, and 1/3 cup water, cook until all water is evaporated

press out dough onto pizza stone - the best way to cook a pizza, add picante sauce to top of dough, top with meat mixture

cook until dough is golden brown - 400 degrees for about 10-15 minutes

top with shredded lettuce, finely shredded onion, shredded cheddar, or taco seasoned cheese, jalapenos optional, black olives, chopped tomatoes, additional picante optional., sour cream. Add these once the pizza is finished cooking in what ever order you choose
I used to work at a pizza place, and we made a taco pizza that everyone loved. Instead of using refried beans for the 'sauce' like most did, we used regular sauce/cheese, added ground beef, more cheese, and then cooked it. We then added crushed chips, lettuce, olives, sour cream, and tomato.
    Enjoy!

Given the way this chutney is attacked in our home, it has never lasted that long.

This chutney tastes good with rotis, freshly steamed rice, in a sandwich, as a dip with crackers, etc. etc.

Boil in a large pot, sprinkling about 1 tsp.

    salt on top.

    Cover.

Let boil for about 20 minutes.

Stab with fork to check for doneness.

Meanwhile, chop the celery, onion, and pickles into a large bowl.

    Set aside.

    Drain potatoes, and let cool.

Bring the bouillon cubes, vinegar, and pepper to a boil, mashing cubes until dissolved.

Remove from heat, as soon as it boils.

When potatoes are cool, peel them.

Then slice them like thin potato chips, into the bowl with the celery, onion, and pickles.

    Combine it all, gently.

Now add the';broth'; gradually, folding it in, as you go.

Pour a bit, then wait, and let the potatoes absorb it.

Then add the oil, also gradually.

    Keep folding.

Now you must let the salad';pull together.

';Cover it loosely with plastic wrap, and stir it every hour or so.

    Do not refrigerate!

    Let him sit overnight.

The next day, you can create.

Stir him up again, and taste.

Add oil, vinegar, pepper, bacon, even mayonnaise, if you want, but be careful with salt, as the bouillon is salty!

you don't need to lose weight, but here's my favorite salad:

spinach, chicken breast, red peppers, orange or grapefruit segments, and a yogurt orange poppyseed dressing. and some kind of nuts: almonds, pecans, or walnuts
I love this salad....spinach leaves, strawberries and pecans. Ugh, but I can't think of the dressing that goes with it. It's a sweet dressing, not creamy. Sorry. But is is so good! You can also add raisins.

What you put on the salad can really add up in calories. Watch the croutons, meat, black olives and dressings!
lettuce, some chicken and sesame dressing, as simple as that

Congrats on the weight loss. Although I think your weight is fine, as far as salads go (defining salad as some sort of raw greens with veggies, or some sort of raw veggie thing), it's usually the dressing that adds the calories. I stick with the low-fat dressings, as I think the fat-free have a weird taste and texture. I like Ken's Steak House low-fat raspberry vinagrette and caesar dressings in particular.

My favorite summer salad: chop up some homegrown tomatoes and fresh basil (don't try to substitute grocery tomatoes and dried basil, it's not the same), throw in some grated part-skim mozzarella cheese (don't go overboard, even part skim is high in fat and therefore calories), and a small splash of olive oil. Most yummy.

You might enjoy fresh fruit with dip. It keeps longer to have the dip separate and then cut fruit as needed/wanted. Here's a collection of fruit dips. Near the end is a fruit salad dressing that can be used for a fruit salad. There's also chocolate dip and chocolate coating. Oh and add a dollop of cream to it as well if you wish, full cream, lite or whatever; it's just something different and it goes real well with these particular fruits.

    Happy fruit-salading!
i would select apples, satsuma mandarin oranges, red grapes, bananas, kiwi and possibly dried plums. then i would make a glaze combining orange juice, honey, dash of both cinnamon and clove... and coat my fruits with the glaze and serve with a plain yogurt topping and offer granola on the side as an added topping for those who like a little crunch

I like to make fruit salad with the following fruits:

    strawberries

    pineapple

    grapes

    orange slices

    apple

I cut everything up into nice sized chunks and pour on a little orange juice (or you can use orange juice concentrate or fruit fresh).

Of course, you can use other fruits, too, but the strawberries and pineapple seem especially good.
My favorite is just cut up fruits... all sorts (whatever is in season). Then, take about 2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate (frozen from the can), mix with 1 tablespoon honey and 2 teaspoons lemon juice, and mix that in with all the fruit. Yum.

What is a good potato salad recipe?

Here are 363 potato salad recipes:

    http://web.foodnetwork.com/food/web/cach鈥?/a>

The bottom-line is figuring out what else you are having with it..... traditional potato salads are great - ones made like grandma used to make with mayonnaise, etc.

But if you are taking this salad out in warm, sunny weather, you may want to try one of the recipes that use just mustard or vinegar/oil with herbs or whatever, to avoid any food-borne illness from lack of refrigeration, etc.

You also may want to consider a variety of options because of dietary restrictions (low-sodium intake, etc.) or maybe keep it low-cal with not doing a mayo-based potato salad recipe or use reduced calorie mayo, etc.
